A good playmat is crucial for the first few decades.

Sarah, a new mother, suggests that you check a few boxes in order to make sure your mat lasts the test of time. It should be soft and easily wipeable.

Emma, Emma’s mother, said that she avoids any items from ‘big brands’ and always tries to find a cheaper version for her son’s favorite toys.

“I find IKEA has great options like train tracks, baby gyms and building blocks that are just as good but much cheaper,”She says.

Better still search for Second-hand bargains. Many toys that have been used but not worn can be found at a fraction of retail price on local online sell/buy/swap sites. You can often find a bargain at a lot of second-hand shops that sell toys.

Online reading eggs and other activities

Screen timeParent guilt is often viewed as a side effect. However, it doesn’t have to be this way.

It is not a good idea spend too much time on your smartphone, but there are educational online games and activities you can use to help you learn and grow.

The program is appropriate for children aged 2-12 years. Ana, a mother to two, was impressed at the variety of activities.

“It’s helped my son immensely with his reading after starting Kindergarten this year and now my four-year-old is also obsessed with it,”She explains.
