I have a 4 year old who — like many children his age — is a big fan of Paw Patrol.
And yes, without even paying attention to an episode, I’ve become familiar with the cast. Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Zuma, Rocky.
Ryder is the book’s premise. “his team of pups” — named above — are always on call, ready to save the residents of Adventure Bay and nearby Foggy Bottom.
Interestingly enough, it’s almost always the same residents — Mayor Goodway, Captain Turbot, Mayor Humdinger and others — who find themselves in need of being rescued from crazy circumstances.
I have covered many government meetings over the years and I have a question. Who funds Paw Patrol?
Ryder and his dogs have some of the most incredible gadgets and vehicles they use to rescue their dogs. They’re even better than James Bond-style equipment.
Are Adventure Bay residents paying exorbitantly high taxes to purchase this equipment? Ryder is a secret millionaire, who funds the operation.
OK, I get it, it’s a kid’s television program. To please adults who watch these episodes, it would be helpful if the creators provided some information about who funded this multimillion-dollar outfit.
I’m sure many other parents of young children can relate to my thoughts on the show.
The program reminds me in some ways of Voltron, a cartoon that I used to watch when I was a kid.
Paw Patrol is a group made up of puppies who slide down an elevator shaft to reach rescue vehicles. Cool music is being played.
In Voltron — if memory serves me correctly — the heroes slid down shafts to mechanical tigers which they drove on rescue missions. Voltron, a heroic robot created when the tigers merged.
Creativity is the key to creating new programs.
Sometimes I miss cartoons like Voltron and GI Joe from my childhood. Yes, I have seen them online. Many episodes are available online.
Let’s move on to the next topic.
